Interdisciplinary, practice-oriented research on the internet and society

The new institute considers itself an interdisciplinary initiator of communication between different scientific disciplines and industries involved in digitization. The institute brings together, for example, economic, technical, social-scientific and legal perspectives in order to develop a holistic understanding of digitization and offer appropriate solutions for society. Pressing questions are taken up from industry and society and the institute will provide advice to political and societal actors on these issues. Its objective is the development of an orientation framework that helps to successfully shape the societal change that is associated with the digitization.
